This morning we rescued the kitten from a car's engine block this morning. He ran out of the house and under the car, got scared, and found a safe, enclosed space (where he got stuck). We had to go knocking to find whose car it was, the gentleman opened the hood and Deric extracted the feline from the car. Phew!

I made a video of the storm outside right now. Major gusts of wind up to 60 mph, dark skies, torrential rain...in other words your average FL summer storm. It makes me laugh when people freak out about hurricanes, since we brave stuff like this every year.

Mom sent me a camera because she's addicted herself to Skype and wanted to video-call me (she's done it 3 times since the weekend!!).
